Under wide open throttle without a reservoir tank, the entire coolant volume circulates through the system every 2 seconds, causing rapid temperature increases. Installing our 12L VE/VF reservoir extends the fluid volume by over a minute’s worth, maintaining stable coolant temperatures and resulting in cooler intake air during sustained high-load conditions. Additionally, when you lift off the throttle, the unused coolant stored in the tank allows for faster intercooler temperature recovery. Crafted from lightweight TIG-welded aluminium, this reservoir is designed specifically for VE-VF Holden, HSV models, fitting discreetly within the passenger side outside air entry box. Its shape maximises coolant capacity without compromising fitment. Performance testing demonstrated intake temperature reductions of 10–20°C over a quarter-mile drag race and significantly reduced cooldown times during both drag and circuit racing. Dyno and highway evaluations confirm the reservoir’s role in sustaining lower intake temperatures even when the interchiller is inactive, highlighting its critical contribution to effective thermal management in supercharged applications generating substantial heat.
