LS3 Engine

The Holden LS3 is a 6.2-liter V8 engine, specifically the Gen IV small-block, that was used in various Holden vehicles, most notably in the Commodore and HSV (Holden Special Vehicles) models. It's known for its powerful performance and was a key feature in the final generation of the Commodore. 

Key Characteristics:
Engine Type: LS-Series Gen IV Small-Block V-8. 
Displacement: 376 cubic inches (6.2 litres). 
Power Output: Varied, but commonly around 304kW - 340kW (407-456 hp), with higher outputs achievable with modifications. 
Torque: Around 550-570 Nm (410-420 lb-ft). 
Vehicle Applications: Primarily found in HSV models like the ClubSport, GTS, Senator, Maloo, and Grange, as well as the VF Commodore SS and SS-V. 
Features: Cast-aluminium block, nodular iron crankshaft, powdered metal connecting rods, hypereutectic aluminium pistons, and L92-style cylinder heads.
